James Handley concentrates his practice on the representation of management in matters related to labor and employment law. 

James provides employers with advice and counseling regarding various employment-related issues and partners with clients to solve complex workplace matters with efficient and thoughtful counsel.

Prior to working at FordHarrison, James was an associate at a general practice firm in Maryland, and worked as a Legal Intern for the Honorable William Ferguson during the 2016 General Assembly Session. While earning his J.D. at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, James served as Staff Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy and a Student Attorney for the Access to Justice: Effective Assistance of Counsel at Bail Clinic.

Prior to law school, James served as a Cavalry Officer in the U.S. Army, with deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
