FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Jay R. Fries, Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Baltimore office, was selected as a 2021 Maryland Super Lawyer.
Attorneys are selected for this honor through a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates. The rigorous process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of attorneys in the state of Maryland are named “Super Lawyers.”
Jay focuses his practice in all areas of labor and employment law, including discrimination, wage and hour, unfair labor practice and employment tort cases. He is an active member of the Maryland, Virginia and Baltimore County bar associations, and the Labor Law Section of the American Bar Association. Jay has authored numerous articles on labor relations topics and frequently participates in employment relations seminars and programs. Jay Fries graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University and received his law degree from the Law School of the College of William and Mary, where he served as an editor of the Law Review.
