Legal Alert: OSHA Releases New Poster; Employers May Still Use Prior Version

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has published a new "It's the Law" Poster.
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has published a new "It's the Law" Poster. The current verison of the poster is still valid; employers are not required to replace their existing posters with the new version. The poster is designed to inform employees and employers of their rights and obligations under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
 
Employers should be wary of companies attempting to sell them the new poster. The poster can be downloaded at no charge from OSHA's web site: www.osha.gov. Additionally, copies of both the English and Spanish versions of the poster can be accessed here.
