Prior to joining FordHarrison, Maria was an associate in the New York office of Koutsoudakis & Iakovou Law Group, where she represented businesses in labor and employment law, commercial litigation, residential real estate, and lender representation. She exclusively represents management in matters involving labor and employment law. A significant portion of Maria's practice is devoted to providing preventive counsel and day-to-day advice aimed at avoiding legal risks associated with the employment relationship. When litigation is unavoidable, she represents businesses and shareholders in state and federal courts, and before administrative agencies against a wide range of employment law claims including allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations.
