Attorneys are selected for this honor through a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates.  The rigorous process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  Only five percent of attorneys in the state of Minnesota are selected for inclusion in 2015 "Minnesota Super Lawyers."

He regularly represents employers in proceedings before state and federal courts, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, as well as various other agencies. Since his graduation from law school, Alec has practiced exclusively in the areas of labor relations, employment law and workers' compensation. He also provides ongoing counsel and training for employers regarding human resource management, employee relations strategies, and the avoidance of employment-related disputes and liability. Alec received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1989.
