Plan to spend Valentine’s morning with us for a robust discussion of
Sex, Drugs, & Rock ‘n Roll
a/k/a/
(#MeToo, Medical Marijuana, and OSHA’s Silica Standard)
In this half-day workshop, we’ll focus on the latest developments in the #MeToo movement, including the precipitous rise in charges of discrimination (and how you can combat the effects), Medical Marijuana and the workplace (and a bit of general discussion on drug free workplaces), and, finally, OSHA’s Silica Standard and how you can stay ahead of the curve. All employers within the construction industry should be familiar with the requirements of this regulation and determine if they must comply. Failure to comply can result in significant OSHA fines. GFA will present an overview of the OSHA standards with a focus on the construction regulation, engineering controls, employee exposure assessments, and the costs that may be associated with compliance.
