Date   February 2018

Tim Kennedy contributed the article, "Tax Reform Considerations for Human Resources" to the February 2018 issue of HR Professionals Magazine. His article covers the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will have on human resources, finance, and accounting departments.

On disincentives for certain fringe benefits, the article states "Under the new law, for-profit employers can no longer deduct expenses related to entertainment, amusement, or recreation, social club membership dues, the costs of social and recreational facilities, and commuter benefits (including parking fees) unless necessary for the employee’s safety. Additionally, the law limits the deduction for the cost of employer-operating dining facilities."
