Three Dallas-Based FordHarrison Partners Named to 2014 Texas Super Lawyers List

FordHarrison LLP, a national labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Fred Gaona, III, Vista Lyons, and Lawrence (Larry) J. McNamara, Partners in the firm's Dallas office, have been selected to the 2014 "Texas Super Lawyers" list.  
 
Attorneys are selected for this honor through a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research on candidates.  The rigorous process is designed to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  Only five percent of attorneys in the state of Texas are named "Super Lawyers."

Fred Gaona has extensive litigation experience on behalf of management in connection with all types of employment disputes, including claims under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and numerous state statutes. Fred also handles general litigation matters and resolves disputes related to non-competition agreements. In addition, Fred has experience defending class action lawsuits and cases in arbitration.

Vista Lyons is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and advises employers across the nation, representing a broad range of industries (including cosmetics, healthcare, airline and hospitality/food services), on labor and employment related matters. Employers turn to Vista to defend them in state and federal court actions involving race, color, sex, age, national origin and other discrimination claims, sexual harassment claims, whistleblower/retaliation and constructive discharge claims; Family and Medical Leave Act claims; Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions and Texas administrative wage and hour claims; defamation and other employment related tort claims; and breach of non-disclosure, non-competition and non-solicitation claims.

Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law, with over 30 years of experience, Larry McNamara practices litigation and labor and employment law. He counsels and defends companies in matters relating to discrimination, wrongful discharge and employment torts, employer-union relations, employment agreements, non-competition covenants, trade secrets and confidential information, fair labor standards, safety and health, pension and benefits.  Larry brings a creative, results-oriented approach to his clients, several of whom have been with him since 1978.  He has successfully resolved disputes through jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
