"Top 10 Employee Handbook Updates for 2016"

Partner Gordon Berger was quoted in the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) HR Magazine article, "Top 10 Employee Handbook Updates for 2016."

The article reviews ten areas where employee handbooks may need to be updated. Organizations that offer leave benefits beyond what is required by law should make a declarative statement about this in its handbook. Gordon said, "It sets forth the company philosophy: 'We don't just comply with what the law says,' and it eliminates ambiguity."
