Two St. Louis Attorneys Named to 2021 Missouri Rising Stars List

ST. LOUIS – FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Matthew B. Banocy and Jamie M. Westbrook, Counsels in the firm’s St. Louis office, were named to the 2021 Missouri Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers magazine.

Matt focuses his practice on the representation and counsel of employers in labor and employment law claims. Matt represents employers in a broad range of claims, appearing before state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies. In addition to being a Missouri Rule 17 Certified Mediator, Matt has also obtained favorable settlements on behalf of his clients at mediation. He is also adept at providing preventive advice and counsel to his clients to help them ensure that their employment practices and policies remain compliant with the myriad of constantly evolving national and state specific employment laws.

Jamie focuses her legal practice on the representation of management in a wide range of labor and employment law matters. This representation has included providing advice and counsel for clients in labor, employment, employee benefits, wage and hour, and general business litigation matters. Jamie has conducted numerous workplace investigations for a variety of matters, including harassment and discrimination. When litigation is unavoidable, Jamie represents clients in defense of a broad range of employment law claims including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, and various other violations of state and federal laws. She also regularly advocates for clients facing charges of discrimination pending before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and other state and local agencies.
