Essential Workers, Essential Protections:

The DOL WHD Orlando District Director will be joining us to provide an overview of how the Wage Hour Division carries out its responsibilities in enforcing some of the nation’s most comprehensive federal labor laws on minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, child labor, family and medical leave, migrant workers, and worker protections in certain temporary worker programs.  This presentation will also identify common mistakes seen during compliance audits.

Top Current Employment Law Issues for Employers Going into the Year End and 2023
This presentation will include a review of significant trends and issues under the American With Disabilities Act (ADA) impacting the workplace right now, with a particular focus on accommodations for mental health issues, important legal issues companies should be aware of before, during and after a natural disaster, the current status of Florida’s “Stop Woke Act”, and recent labor law developments impacting all employers from the National Labor Relations Board.
