Essential Laws Overseen by the Wage Hour Division of the DOL
An overview of how the Wage Hour Division carries out its responsibilities in enforcing some of the nation’s most comprehensive federal laws on minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, child labor, family and medical leave, migrant workers, and worker protections in certain temporary worker programs.  This presentation will also identify common mistakes seen during compliance audits.

You’ve Just Received an Attorney Demand Letter – Now What? 
A practical and lively interactive session looking at what HR professionals and employers should (and should not) do when they receive notice of a potential legal claim asserted by a former or current employee, as well as options to explore in potentially resolving such matters.  The program will include a mock mediation lead by our special guest Andy Hament, which seeks to resolve a threatened lawsuit and explores the art of mediation (including the good, the bad, and the ugly).
