Jason Shon concentrates his legal practice on the representation of management in labor and employment matters.

Jason has extensive experience litigating in federal and state courts and appearing before administrative agencies throughout California. He is highly versed in utilizing discovery procedures to obtain critical information for dispositive action.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Jason was an associate attorney with a national law firm, representing clients in employment, commercial, and general liability matters. He has defended numerous depositions, and secured favorable settlements upon eliciting adverse testimony from plaintiffs.

During law school, Jason served on the Hastings Business Law Journal and was recognized with the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Corporations. Jason externed for the Honorable William Alsup in the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California, for the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He is also a member of the Korean American Bar Association.

In his free time, Jason pursues his passion of rock climbing, and recently renewed his interest in golf.

  • Successfully leveraged summary judgment motion to secure nominal settlement on behalf of car dealership on claims for discrimination based on race and disability, retaliation, and wrongful termination in violation of the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.
  • Successfully utilized motion for sanctions following early investigations to secure voluntary dismissal, saving clients significant amounts in legal fees.
