Matt Westerman is an airline labor and employment attorney with more than 25 years of experience representing employers in traditional labor matters, employment litigation, and workplace compliance.

Matt advises air carriers and airline service providers on collective bargaining, union avoidance strategies, class action defense, and employment-based immigration, as well as compliance with wage and hour laws and workplace accommodations.

Before joining FordHarrison, Matt served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Unifi Aviation, the nation’s largest airline services contractor, where he oversaw labor and employment matters for a workforce of more than 45,000 employees. He has also held in-house counsel roles with healthcare and transportation organizations and practiced at both national and regional law firms, where he led labor and employment practice groups.

Matt has successfully negotiated and administered more than 20 collective bargaining agreements and frequently represents employers in proceedings before the NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, and other regulatory agencies.
