About the Program
These are uncertain times in which we find ourselves. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the government and, in turn, employers to implement many changes, including the new requirements of federal legislations. Both the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA”) and the CARES Act have placed new obligations on business and offer to provide government assistance for dealing with the crisis. In this program, we will look at the major impacts that these new laws have had on employers. Specifically, we will discuss Emergency Paid Sick Leave, Expanded Family Medical Leave, and the Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”), as well as the regulatory guidance coming from federal agencies.
