ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Employers covered by Title VII are required to accommodate the religious beliefs/practices of applicants and employees when conflicts arise with the employers' work requirements unless to do so would cause an undue hardship. With religious diversity in the workplace increasing, employers likely will face more frequent accommodation requests in the future. This Session will examine the legal requirements imposed by Title VII on employers as they relate to accommodating the religious beliefs/practices of applicants and employees. This Session will discuss key Court cases, EEOC regulations and guidance, and examples that will help employers understand their religious accommodation obligations under Title VII.
