About the Program
Join FordHarrison, in partnership with Reliance Forensics, for a breakfast briefing on December 6 regarding emerging topics in labor and employment law. This briefing will feature a 90 minute employment law update as well as a one hour update on cybersecurity.
- Employment Law Update – FordHarrison partners Angela Cummings and Julie Adams will discuss the latest updates in employment law and will provide you with practical guidance in responding to day-to-day employee situations. Among other trending topics, Angela and Julie will discuss the Department of Labor’s Final Rule updating the “white collar” overtime exemptions, which goes into effect on January 1, 2020.
- Data Security and Forensics, Privacy, and Cyber Liability Basics* – This session will be led by notable forensic and cybersecurity expert Clark Walton, of Reliance Forensics. Clark will cover the basics regarding data security and forensics, privacy, and cyber liability.
Continuing Education
- The program is pending approval for North Carolina and South Carolina CLE, HRCI and SHRM credits.
* For attorneys licensed in North Carolina, approval is also pending for one hour of new specialty CLE credit for technology training.
