About the Program
Employers require employees to meet specific performance, conduct, and attendance standards. All employees, including those with disabilities, must meet these standards. Maintaining the integrity of these standards while at the same time complying with the ADA can be difficult.

This program will provide employers and employees with disabilities, including psychiatric conditions, with guidance on how the ADA applies to these standards, including:

  • What actions an employer can take when an employee's disability is causing the performance, conduct, or attendance problem
  • When an employee should request an accommodation
  • When an employer can raise the issue of an employee's disability
