By examining common mistakes that employers make, we can learn from these experiences and explore ways to resolve workplace disputes and prevent them from becoming discrimination complaints. In this session, experts will discuss how common, every-day conflict can cause major consequences if not handled immediately and effectively. Learn how to internally resolve workplace disputes when they arise and how to best utilize EEOC's early mediation program; gain better understanding on the legal and financial consequences when conflict is not resolved and litigation ensues; and, hear best practice tips (especially in high risk areas) on how to prevent complaints by having effective policies and practices in place, i.e. hiring & recruitment policies, drug and alcohol testing policies, and conducting internal investigations, etc.
