About the Sessions
During the Legal Update you will hear from speakers from the Department of Labor, FordHarrison LLP, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Latest from the US Department of Labor (DOL) - from our local DOL District Director
Presentation Description: This presentation will focus on what employers need to know about the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act and the child labor provisions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Under the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act, most employees have the right to break time and private space to express breast milk for their nursing child which is available for up to one year after the child’s birth. In addition, the federal child labor provisions of the FLSA were enacted to ensure that when young people work, the work is safe and does not jeopardize their health, well-being, or educational opportunities. A recent spike in child labor violations has been seen across the country and covering the important provisions of this law could prevent violations, injuries and fatalities involving minors in the workplace.

Speaker:
Wildalí Lugo De Jesús, District Director, Orlando District Office
