FOR AIRLINE LEGAL, HUMAN RESOURCES, LABOR AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS,
AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

The aviation industry, like the rest of corporate America, is dealing with tough economic times and is struggling to make changes in order to reduce costs. In addition, the industry is faced with new labor and employment legislation, increasing pressure from unions and a rise in employee claims. Ford & Harrison's Airline Symposium will focus on the current topics in labor and employment law, including:

  • Strategies for negotiating collective bargaining agreements in the current economic environment
  • A mock arbitration hearing emphasizing best practices in the handling of disciplinary grievances
  • AIR21 and other whistleblower claims and the interplay with abuse of sick leave and other leaves of absence
  • Recent amendments to the Family & Medical Leave Act and changes to the regulations
  • Litigation avoidance and cost reduction strategies

The symposium will start with a luncheon on Thursday, May 7 and will conclude on Friday afternoon, May 8. We will also have a reception and dinner for all attendees on Thursday evening.

More details on the program are attached below including the registration form.
