FordHarrison Adds Six Associates in Los Angeles, New York City, Memphis, Nashville, and Tampa

NATIONAL FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce the addition of six associates to the firm's Los Angeles, New York City, Memphis, Nashville, and Tampa offices, further strengthening FordHarrison's national platform and commitment to serving employers across the country. 

Joining the firm are David C. Chang and Lindsey R. Hagen in Los Angeles, Simone A. McGovern in New York City, Corey T. Lee in Memphis, Colton L. Adams in Nashville, and Nicholas A. Huguelet in Tampa.

Colton L. Adams
Counsel | Nashville, TN
Colton represents employers and businesses in a broad range of workplace-related matters. His practice includes labor and employment disputes, contract disputes, trade secret matters, and business counseling. In his practice, Colton independently manages all stages of litigation in state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and handling court appearances. Colton regularly advises clients on risk mitigation, compliance, and employment practices, partnering with businesses to develop practical strategies tailored to their operational goals. Earlier in his career, Colton served as a Term Law Clerk to the Honorable Joseph M. Hood of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. During law school, Colton earned CALI Excellence Awards in Litigation Skills and Advanced Legal Writing Seminar. Colton joins FordHarrison from Thompson Burton, PLLC

David C. Chang
Counsel | Los Angeles, CA
David is a seasoned employment litigator who represents employers in complex, high-stakes disputes across a wide range of labor and employment matters. He focuses his practice on defending businesses in class actions, representative PAGA claims, and individual lawsuits involving wage-and-hour issues, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other workplace-related claims. Prior to his current role, David gained valuable experience advising corporate clients on complex commercial transactions and compliance matters, including negotiating agreements and conducting financial and regulatory audits. His background also includes representing employers, insurers, and individuals in a variety of civil litigation matters, giving him a well-rounded perspective on dispute resolution and risk management. David joins FordHarrison from Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP.

Lindsey R. Hagennot
Associate | Los Angeles, CA
Lindsey represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including employment litigation, workplace investigations, and compliance counseling. Lindsey's practice focuses on defending employers against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour issues under California law. She assists clients throughout all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, mediation, depositions, and trial preparation. During law school, Lindsey developed a strong interest in international and public interest law. She served as a legal intern with World Without Genocide, where she attended international policy forums and conducted research related to transnational repression and human rights issues. She also helped launch a pro bono initiative assisting Ukrainian families seeking legal relief and humanitarian assistance in the United States. Lindsey joins FordHarrison from Gutierrez, Preciado & House LLP.

Nicholas A. Huguelet
Counsel | Tampa, FL
Nick represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, with more than 15 years of experience advising and defending businesses, public entities, and insurers in complex workplace matters. Nick serves as trusted counsel to organizations ranging from local employers to multinational corporations, providing strategic guidance on employment litigation, labor relations, workplace policies, and regulatory compliance. He regularly defends employers in state and federal courts against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and leave-related issues. Nick is a frequent speaker and author on labor and employment law topics. He has presented labor and employment updates for professional and industry organizations, contributed to Developing Labor Law, and has been featured by television and radio news outlets discussing emerging workplace law issues. Nick joins FordHarrison from Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone, P.L.C.

Corey T. Lee, II
Associate | Memphis, TN
Corey represents employers in labor and employment matters and assists clients with workplace compliance, litigation support, and employment-related investigations. His practice focuses on helping employers address legal challenges through practical, responsive counsel and thorough legal analysis. While attending the University of Tennessee College of Law, Corey served as a student attorney with the Legal Aid Society, where he represented clients in administrative and conservatorship matters, conducted client interviews, and prepared legal filings. Prior to entering the legal profession, Corey worked as a financial analyst, providing business and financial insight on pricing, operations, and strategic initiatives. This experience gives him a practical understanding of the operational and business considerations that employers face when making workforce decisions. Corey joins FordHarrison from Lee Segui.

Simone A. McGovern
Associate | New York, NY
Simone represents employers in a broad range of workplace matters, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related disputes. Simone has experience supporting all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial preparation. She has assisted in defending employers against complex workplace claims, including hostile work environment and harassment allegations, by drafting dispositive motions, preparing jury instructions, and conducting in-depth legal research. In addition, Simone has experience taking and defending depositions and preparing witnesses, providing practical guidance to help clients navigate risk and present effective case narratives. While earning her J.D., Simone served as the Senior Editor for the Boston College Law Review, was named a Public Interest Designation Program Fellow, and received the Pro Bono Award for Excellence. Simone joins FordHarrison from Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP.
