Julianne Brown's legal practice is solely focused on representing management clients in matters related to labor and employment law.

With a solid foundation in employment law supporting her, Julianne represents her clients’ best interests at the negotiation table, before administrative agencies, and in court. While at FordHarrison, Julianne has advised a variety of clients, including municipalities, school boards, and labor employers, and successfully handled cases before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission, state courts, and federal courts. Julianne has a particular strength and passion for supporting businesses and helping business owners reach their full potential. She provides both legal counseling and human resource services to her clients, guiding them through handbook creation and implementation, contract negotiations, beginning and ending employee relationships, workplace investigations, and lawsuits. Julianne wants to understand how you run your business and help you make it better.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Julianne gained experience at both general practice firms and a boutique labor and employment firm where she learned effective legal strategies for a multitude of issues. While earning her J.D., Julianne worked as a media specialist, learning how to promote a business and handle administrative matters. During her time in law school, Julianne took an interest in international law, which she studied at both Trinity College Dublin School of Law and The Hague Academy of International Law. Her love of learning extends to a love of teaching; Julianne teaches law on an adjunct basis at her alma mater high school, Westover School in Middlebury, CT.

When she is not practicing law, Julianne can be found watching a Wes Anderson movie, reading the latest Taylor Jenkins Reid novel, or cooking her way through her collection of cookbooks. When she’s in the kitchen, her dog, Freda, can be found curled up watching the cooking show (and being fed little morsels of the meal).
