Meron Squires concentrates her legal practice on solving labor relations and workplace law problems for airline employers.
Meron brings more than a decade of in-house airline experience to her labor and employment practice, offering clients pragmatic, strategic counsel grounded in deep industry knowledge. She represents employers in grievance arbitrations, mediations, and collective bargaining negotiations, with a particular emphasis on matters governed by the Railway Labor Act.
Before joining FordHarrison, Meron spent nearly 12 years at a major international air carrier, where she served as Manager in Contract Administration and Labor Support. In that role, she collaborated with the General Counsel and Labor Relations teams to negotiate collective bargaining agreements, letters of agreement, and complex vendor contracts. She was also a trusted advisor to leadership on union relations, disciplinary strategy, and contract interpretation, regularly defusing disputes before they escalated into formal grievances.
Meron now leverages that frontline experience to advocate for airline and carrier service provider clients across a wide range of labor matters. She has achieved favorable outcomes in both contract and disciplinary arbitrations and has successfully defended multiple AIR21 whistleblower claims.
Her practice also includes advising management on compliance with federal workplace regulations, including drug testing, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements. She represents clients in RLA negotiations, appears before the National Mediation Board, and provides proactive counsel on union organizing, picketing, and labor relations strategy. Meron also defends employers against EEOC charges and other employment-related claims.
