Jonathan McKenna specializes in employment law and is dedicated to representing management in various labor and employment matters.

Jonathan actively advocated for clients in state and federal courts in North and South Carolina, arbitration, and before government agencies, including the EEOC, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, and North Carolina Department of Labor. He has developed a strong foundation in advising employers across diverse industries, including healthcare, technology, education, and transportation. His practice encompasses a wide range of employment law issues, including non-compete and trade secret disputes, workplace discrimination, and compliance with state and federal employment statutes. With a commitment to protecting clients' interests, Jonathan is a trusted resource for navigating complex employment challenges.

When not practicing law, Jonathan spends his down-time exploring Charlotte with his fiancé, Makenna (yes, you read that right), boating on Lake Wylie, and spending time with his family, including his triplet brothers, Jacob and William.

Prior to joining FordHarrison, Jonathan was an associate for a family law firm located in Anderson, South Carolina. In this role, he negotiated settlements, mediated complex marital disputes, conducted comprehensive investigations while serving as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, and drafted pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and demand letters.

While earning his J.D., Jonathan served as a Law Admissions Ambassador for the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law Admissions Department and was Student Campus Head Representative for Themis Bar Review. Prior to attending law school, Jonathan was the Head Coach for the Lake Brantley High School Junior Varsity lacrosse team, leading the team to an 11-1 record for the season.
